Material Witness

My first exhibition since October 2012, “Material Witness”, opens on  22 July,  at Exhibitions Gallery of Fine Art, 19A Osborne Street, Newmarket, Auckland.

Preview: Tuesday, 22 July 2014, 6pm – 8pm.  If you are in Auckland, please join us  (to RSVP please email the gallery auckland@exhibitionsgallery.co.nz)  –  everyone’s welcome.

  1. Hi Ruth, I really like your paintings – technically amazing, I love the Renaissance reference, yet also so contemporary, expressing everything through drapery…All the best with the exhibition! (Alas, too far for me to come, as I am in London)

      Wow, Anita, I have just spent several happy moments absorbed in your blog and website. How I wish I knew about your art before I visited London last year! Your work is truly beautiful and fascinating and your research is extensive – it’s all quite remarkable, thank you!

  3. Just saw the preview of the exhibition – they are beautiful. Have you thought of doing one absolutely humongous – say 3-4 metres long, to fill an entire gallery wall? The impact would be amazing….

      Thank you Anita. Definitely, at that scale they would certainly make their presence felt – I was thinking of going bigger, but you’re right, that big would be amazing – I’ll start planning!
